Massive stars forming in a relatively isolated environment directly constrain existing massive star formation theories. Here we locate the protostar and characterise the protostellar properties toward G28.2-0.05 with interferometric data. The study unveils a single massive (16 Msun) protostar forming in isolation without strong continuum sources beyond 0.1 pc within the interferometric field of view at a mass sensitivity of 0.4 solar mass. The high chemical richness of complex organic molecules toward G28.2-0.05 provide insights into processes that regulate the chemical architectures in the vicinity of the massive protostar. G28.2-0.05 also provides a unique venue to study dust polarisation properties and the role of magnetic fields in massive star formations.
