The ALMAGAL survey: Spectral line temperature catalogue

Beth Jones, Peter Schilke, ALMAGAL Collaboration

The ALMAGAL large program has observed over 1000 high-mass star forming clumps in our Galaxy at high resolution. This provides an unprecedented, coherent data set to advance our understanding of star formation in molecular clumps with statistical global conclusions, resolving emission from 1000AU scales in addition to extended emission.
We present the first catalogue of temperatures determined toward the continuum cores detected in the ALMAGAL fields. We use XCLASS to fit the spectra of multiple temperature tracers, blended lines, and continuum emission simultaneously. We have developed a novel and robust process that requires minimal human intervention or prior knowledge of physical conditions - or even the number of temperature components - toward each target.  Finally, we show the results and insights from analysis of the currently available, fully combined spectral cubes for 500 fields using formaldehyde (H2CO), methyl cyanide (CH3CN) and methanol (CH3OH) where detected.
